Maun River Walk

On the August 27th 2016 I walked the full length of the Maun River,

A walk of approximately 23 miles (37 Kilometres)

in aid of the Special Care Baby Unit at Kingsmill Hospital, Sutton-in-Ashfield.

On Friday 4th March 2022

on the second anniversary of the Covid-19 Pandemic in the UK,

I walked the length of the Maun River and Back, All in One Day.

400th Platelet Walk for McMillan Cancer Suport 

On Saturday June 8th 2025

If you don't know me, I am a Platelet Donor, I have been donating for many years and donated my 400th Platelets Donation at the end of May, so I decided to mark it with a charity even. As most of my donations go to cancer patients, I walked from Sutton Parkway Station, Sutton-in-Ashfield to Nottingham blood donor centre where I donate, walking through Hucknall then walking back. finishing at Kingsmill Hospital.

This route is approximately 28 miles long or 45 kilometres

My next Charity Walk 

My next Charity Walk will be to mark my 500th Platelet Donation which will be in April 2027.

to mark this event I will be walking virtually over a year to all the permanent Blood Donor and Cystic Fibrosis Centres around the UK. a total of 1217 miles.  ( A total of 49 centres)
